Just now, when i was surfing facebook and trying to send a message to a friend, who is not added in my friend list, and after launching message pop up, i was surprise to see the payment option on the send message button of around 19 rupees something paisa. The reason facebook determine there to save from the spam by this payment option.

Facebook is now becoming the addiction in the India and world people and from some time, fb decreases the freedom to the users, may be that is kind of privacy concerns like spam and all that. Recently the reach of fanpages is also devaluated to 10% only according to the rumors, not sure that it is 10% or based on any other criteria.
But think, in india, will people really pay for sending a message to the people, who are not added in your friend list. Is this not takes a space on the pocket of Indian people. Suppose a common Indian men earns 15,000 Rs salary per month and he is really addicted to the facebook, and he sends daily 2 urgent messages to any client or any party per day. Then he needs to spend 40 Rs daily. In a month around, 1200 to 1500 Rs per month.
So, you can think of daily 2 messages can take 10% salary of a person in India. I don’t think, it will be a good business in India for facebook, but as per my understanding people in South asia prefer more free things. Do let us know your views about facebook messages cost in the comments.
