Idea Net Setter or Micromax Data Card, which is better ?

Are you looking for a wireless data card for internet access on Your PC or Android Tablet? then you could have two choices, first is Idea Net Setter and another is Micromax, both USB modems supports prepaid connections on GSM network with 2G and 3G both supportability. But who performs better?

Idea net setter supports only idea GSM Network, but you can easily unlock that to all prepaid and postpaid GSM networks or you can buy pre-unlock net setter from any retail store in india. I use net setter in PC, but the problem arise that it disconnects in less than 5 minutes every time, whenever I connect, but good thing is it supports with my PENTA IS701C tablet.

Now comes to Micromax data card, I am using MMX 352G version, which works awesome with my BSNL Prepaid network and it is quite affordable as per around 100 rupees per month on BSNL network. Internet charges and speed is really nice, in my area better than docomo, airtel, aircel, idea or any other network. But it doesn’t supports with my BSNL Penta.

The question arises that which wireless modem is better? Both data card works very well, but you can choose according to your needs and preference. If you are going to buy a new data card for your computer or laptop, the micromax is a good choice for you as their service centre has more coverage in india, so if any problem arise, then you can contact them.

If you wants to buy for your android tablet, then go for Idea net setter or Vodafone net setter. But I suggest you, if you need a data card for less price data plans, don’t buy Photon or MTS, now they have good recharge plans,  speed is very fast also, but, when there is good speed wireless broadband in cheaper price are available, then why you don’t choose these, except you are a professional or a big downloader, and you need very fast speed, in that case you can choose MTS or Tata Photon plus or Reliance net card.

Overall conclusion of this discussion is buy Micromax, Idea Net setter or any other Data card, which supports All GSM networks, because you can change your network anytime, and choose good offer plans that normally comes because of high competition rate in telecom operators. BSNL have good plans on 2G and 3G both networks, as I personally use BSNL for affordable and value for money recharges on my computer and Docomo on my mobile.

Price of both Micromax and Idea data card is around 1750 to 1800 Rupees in india, but online, you will get a good deal as flipkart has 1650 Rupees only. It’s all upto you, which one is you buy according to your affordability, speed and performance.

Recharge with BSNL 301 for 8GB internet Data for 3 Months

Yesterday, I recharged with 301 BSNL STV recharge for 8GB internet data for 90 days, you can use the data on your mobile, pc or data card in 3G or 2G network, but it will not give you 3G speed as in 2G pack, you will get some extra speed while on HSDPA(3G) network. I read somewhere on the internet that it is of 300 rupees pack, but if you will recharge with 300 STV, you have got Local BSNL free, so recharge with 301 for this pack.

If you are using internet for downloading so much stuff, then it is not for you, either you can use 270 rupees 10 GB pack or go for unlimited broadband according to your area plan. If your usage is of 2 to 3GB per month, then this BSNL plan is perfect for you, because in 98 you will get only 1250 MB and in 125, only 2000 MB.

So, it would be better, if you choose your BSNL internet plan according to your use. Well, I am using BSNL 301 plan in my Micromax 352Gdata modem.

Airtel Launched 4G Services in Pune, Kolkata and Bangaluru

After the 3G in india, now it is the turn to launched 4G service in India, which is much faster than 3rd Generation speed. Firstly 4G is already launched in Kolkata and Bangaluru and now the pune (maharashatra) is the next destination for 4th Generation Technology.

With 4G, you can download much much faster than 3G internet on your smartphone or on your PC. If you are living in one of these 3 cities and you want to try 4G speed on your device, then the wireless dongle price for 4G is around 5,000 rupees to 8,000 in market or online.

Monthly Airtel 4G tariff plans are 6GB for Rs 999, 9GB for Rs 1399, 18GB for Rs 1999 and 30GB for Rs 2999 and these all are actually unlimited, but after using the limited data, the speed reduces to 2G speed 128kb/s, but in beginning these will be much higher. Still 3G prices are high in India, so we can’t expect low prices and availability of 4G service for 1 or 2 years.

If you wanna buy a new Micromax modem or Data card, then Micromax 353 can be a good choice for you in the price range of 1600 to 1800 rupees. You can use any GSM number in it, any one which could be BSNL, airtel, aircel, Videocon, Idea, Vodafone or any other sim.

If you compare MMS 353G with its previous version, 352G then there was one function missing which is calling. From this data card you can send and receive SMS also and use both the network 2G and 3G for fastest internet speed.

MMX 353G is available in India and you can buy it from online store as well as offline. You can also use your micro SD card in it as a card reader for downloading, uploading and transferring data from your PC.

One more thing, if you have Micromax previous version modem 352G, then I recommend you don’t buy new one, because by downloading the MMX 353G software, you can enjoy the calling option in your current DATA CARD with low price.

How to Resolve Micromax USB Modem No Service Problem?

Micromax USB Modems are mostly usable Modems in india for connecting to the internet, because it supports all the GSM networks, most of the people buy these modems like Micromax 352G, 353G etc. so if you are using any of the USB Modem or Micromax Data Card and you are using any of telecom services like IDEA, VODAFONE, TATA DOCOMO, AIRTEL, VIDEOCON, BSNL etc. but you are not able to connect to the internet. So what you can do.

While connecting to the internet through Micromax USB Modem, if you are facing problem or there are occurring error of NO SERVICE, In that case there might be many causes like Network Range, SIM compatibility etc. So, for solving this, I suggest you that this is because of the Network Range problem, because Micromax Modems are occurring problem in catching network signals. So I suggest you to use the internet where, there is the network range are full.

Or you can also check the network mode setting, if you select the HSDPA/UMTS network. May be that network is not available so you can try GPRS network. Or you can also choose the network by manually in the Network Selection Setting. But in my situation networking catching power was the reason for NO SERVICE Problem. You can also try to use at a place, where network range is full. I hope this can be helpful.

If any case, this will not work, you can go to the Micromax Service Centre and update the internal software or can be change the USB Modem or Data Card.
