Are you looking for a wireless data card for internet access on Your PC or Android Tablet? then you could have two choices, first is Idea Net Setter and another is Micromax, both USB modems supports prepaid connections on GSM network with 2G and 3G both supportability. But who performs better?
Idea net setter supports only idea GSM Network, but you can easily unlock that to all prepaid and postpaid GSM networks or you can buy pre-unlock net setter from any retail store in india. I use net setter in PC, but the problem arise that it disconnects in less than 5 minutes every time, whenever I connect, but good thing is it supports with my PENTA IS701C tablet.
Now comes to Micromax data card, I am using MMX 352G version, which works awesome with my BSNL Prepaid network and it is quite affordable as per around 100 rupees per month on BSNL network. Internet charges and speed is really nice, in my area better than docomo, airtel, aircel, idea or any other network. But it doesn’t supports with my BSNL Penta.
The question arises that which wireless modem is better? Both data card works very well, but you can choose according to your needs and preference. If you are going to buy a new data card for your computer or laptop, the micromax is a good choice for you as their service centre has more coverage in india, so if any problem arise, then you can contact them.
If you wants to buy for your android tablet, then go for Idea net setter or Vodafone net setter. But I suggest you, if you need a data card for less price data plans, don’t buy Photon or MTS, now they have good recharge plans, speed is very fast also, but, when there is good speed wireless broadband in cheaper price are available, then why you don’t choose these, except you are a professional or a big downloader, and you need very fast speed, in that case you can choose MTS or Tata Photon plus or Reliance net card.
Overall conclusion of this discussion is buy Micromax, Idea Net setter or any other Data card, which supports All GSM networks, because you can change your network anytime, and choose good offer plans that normally comes because of high competition rate in telecom operators. BSNL have good plans on 2G and 3G both networks, as I personally use BSNL for affordable and value for money recharges on my computer and Docomo on my mobile.
Price of both Micromax and Idea data card is around 1750 to 1800 Rupees in india, but online, you will get a good deal as flipkart has 1650 Rupees only. It’s all upto you, which one is you buy according to your affordability, speed and performance.
